Eco Sustainable Solutions is supporting Lewis-Manning Hospice Care and has donated mulch to enable the hospice to create and enhance its borders at the site at Longfleet Road in Poole. It has also named the hospice as its nominated charity partner for 2021.
Eco Brand Manager Harrie Cooper said, “As a business we are always keen to give to the local communities in which we work and support projects for little cost, if possible, if not for free. It’s a real pleasure to be collaborating with the team at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
“We are very aware of the incredible work that they do in the local communities in East Dorset and Purbeck, supporting patients and their families with life limiting illnesses. Our staff are really looking forward to getting involved in a variety of fundraising initiatives over the coming months.
Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, Nicki Cluley added, “It’s brilliant to be working with Eco Sustainable Solutions and to have their generous and continued support. They were a real help to us during our Christmas Tree recycling campaign at the start of the year and we are excited to see their staff join in a number of our fundraising challenges and events in 2021. We have a real diverse mix of challenges for our supporters to choose from, including a Wing Walk, a Fire Walk and a Coastal Trek.” https://lewis-manning.org.uk/challenges/
About Lewis-Manning Hospice Care
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is a charity established 29 years ago, providing extraordinary care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Poole, Purbeck and East Dorset. We offer a range of free hospice care services aimed at helping people to live well through their illness, closer to home.
– Day hospices, virtual and in person
– Creative arts & wellbeing support
– Lymphoedema clinic for cancer patients
– Better breathing clinic
– Family bereavement & support
Every year we support nearly 500 local people and we develop new services, based on patient need and identified gaps in the area.
To do this we need to raise over £1.6m every year. Without these funds we could not exist.
Our important work increases people’s physical and social well-being, reduces isolation and loneliness, supports people to stay in their homes longer, and alleviates the huge pressures on family and carers.

About Eco Sustainable Solutions
Eco employs 45 people at three sites across Dorset, processing local, natural organic waste each year which is put back to good use as compost, soil improver, fertiliser, landscaping products and biofuels. It treats 250,000 tonnes of waste a year and also produces clean power from solar power, anaerobic digestion and combined heat and power (CHP).
Dorset and BCP councils have produced a joint waste plan that estimates the local area will need to process an extra 232,000 tonnes per year of waste left over after recycling. The councils’ strong preference is to recover energy from this leftover waste ‘wherever practicable’, to minimise the use of landfill and to treat waste locally rather than have it travelling out of the county.
